Making a difference beyond the ice
Youth Hockey Programs
Empowering the next generation
I volunteer as a mentor and coach for underprivileged youth in our community, teaching them not just hockey skills but life values like teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. Through free hockey clinics and equipment donations, we're making the sport accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic background.
Educational Support
Building futures through learning
Education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty. I work with local schools to provide tutoring services and scholarship opportunities for student-athletes. Our program has helped over 50 students improve their grades while pursuing their athletic dreams, showing them that they don't have to choose between sports and academics.
Mental Health Awareness
Breaking the stigma, one conversation at a time
Mental health in sports is often overlooked. I advocate for open conversations about mental wellness, sharing my own experiences with performance anxiety and the pressures of competitive sports. Through workshops and speaking engagements, I help athletes understand that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Community Outreach
Giving back to those who supported me
Regular volunteer work at local food banks, homeless shelters, and senior centers keeps me grounded and connected to my community. I organize annual charity drives during the hockey season, raising funds and awareness for various causes. It's important to remember that success is meaningless unless it's shared with others.
